Jarn-Marie Couley
Principal
Jarn-Marie started dancing at the age of three at Jersey Academy of Dancing where she studied Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Greek, National and Contemporary.
After Leaving Beaulieu Convent School Jarn-Marie Studied at Highlands College for 4 years, where she gained a Foundation Degree in Childhood Studies. She has since gone on to do her dancing teaching exams through the North West Vocational Dance Centre, where she gained her Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap and a Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Modern Theatre and Tap. She is currently continuing to train through he North West Vocational Dance Centre studying her Licentiate in Tap which she hopes to take in the next few years.
In 2016 Jarn-Marie qualified as an Acrobatic Arts Module 1 teacher in 2016 and went on to complete her Module 2 in 2018. Over the past few years she has attended lots of workshops, events and courses in Acro, Tumbling and Hand Balancing to develop her teaching.

Lany
de Freitas
Dance Teacher
Lany started dancing at the age of six at First Tower School of Dancing taking classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Highland. She also took up singing lessons at 16 years old with the Progressive School of Music before leaving the island to train at The Centre of Performing Arts College in London. She trained for three years and received her Theatre Performance Dipolma, as well as taking her DDI Ballet, Tap and Modern teaching qualifications.
Lany has performed at Move It, The Royal Albert Hall at the Dance Proms and even attended the Dance World Cup as Captain of Team Jersey, where she received a gold medal for her Ballet Duet.
She went on to perform as a singer/dancer for Celebrity Cruise Line, performing and travelling all around the world from different places like Australia, Brazil and Argentina to name a few.This is something she dreamed about since she started dancing.
Lany is now back in Jersey and wanting to spread her love and knowledge for dance at JM Dance Studios.

Elle-Anais
Couley
Dance Teacher
Elle started dancing at the age of two years old at Jersey Academy of Dancing and finished her training at Silhouette Studios of Performance. She took classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Greek, Jazz, Contemporary and Acro.
Growing up Elle took part in lots of competitions, shows along with yearly Jersey Green Room Club Easter and Christmas productions.
Whilst studying her A-Levels at Beaulieu Convent School, Elle has taught alongside
Jarn-Marie assisting in classes. She gained her Acrobatic Arts Module 1 teaching qualification in 2019 at 17 years old and have recently completed her Module 2 earlier this year.
She is currently studying at Highlands College where she has completed her Introduction and Level 2 Counselling Course qualification. She is now continuing with her Level 3 this September.
Alongside studying, Elle has choreographed for lots of shows and competitions for JMDS and frequently goes to the UK to further her teaching training.
